How to Get Your ArbiterLive Schedule on Your Calendar

ArbiterLive is where a lot of school athletic departments publish team schedules, and getting one onto your phone is fiddlier than it should be. There's no copy-this-link button sitting on the schedule page. You need an account, you need to follow the team, and the subscription link arrives by email.

None of that is hard once you know it's the shape of the thing. Here are the four steps in order, what to do when the email doesn't arrive, and the honest fine print about how often your calendar actually re-reads the feed.

Get your ArbiterLive calendar feed

  1. 1

Create a free ArbiterLive account. Unlike most team apps, ArbiterLive wants you signed in before it hands out a calendar feed. The account is free. This is the step most parents skip, then wonder why there's no subscribe button anywhere on the public schedule page.

  2. 2

Find your school and follow the team. Search for your school, then follow the specific team whose schedule you want — varsity, JV, freshman, whichever your kid is on. Following is what ties that schedule to your account, and it's what makes the calendar request possible in the next step.

  3. 3

Request the calendar feed. With the team followed, request the calendar subscription for it. ArbiterLive's own help documentation describes the flow this way; the exact button wording and placement can differ from what you expect, so look around the team or account area for the calendar-feed option rather than assuming it isn't there.

  4. 4

Check your email for the subscription link. Here's the part that surprises people: the link is emailed to you rather than shown on screen. Open the email, copy the link, and don't lose it — it's the actual feed address. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam.

  5. 5

Add it by URL — or paste it into Schedule Caddie. In Google Calendar that's "Other calendars → From URL"; in Apple Calendar, "File → New Calendar Subscription". Or paste it into Schedule Caddie, where it joins your other kids' teams on one merged calendar — re-checked hourly, with an email that names exactly what changed when a game moves.

One team subscribed — or the whole family merged?

Subscribe directly

Paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook and it works — and if school sports are the only thing you're tracking, that's the end of it. The problem is that school sports are never the only thing: you went through an account, a follow, and an emailed link for ONE team, and the club season, the sibling's practices, and the school concert are all still somewhere else.

Paste into Schedule Caddie

  • ArbiterLive plus every other kid's team app, merged into one calendar
  • Color-coded by kid or schedule so you can tell at a glance
  • Email alerts the moment a game or practice changes
  • A weekly digest so nothing slips through
  • School PDF calendars imported alongside — the one schedule with no feed

If something's not working

The email with my calendar link never showed up

Check spam and any promotions tab first — an automated message from a sports platform is a classic filter casualty. If it's genuinely not there, confirm the email address on your ArbiterLive account is the one you're checking, then request the feed again.

I can't find my school, or the team I want isn't listed

Not every district publishes through ArbiterLive, and some publish only certain sports. If your kid's team isn't there, the school likely posts that schedule somewhere else — many districts run their athletics calendar in rSchoolToday's Activity Scheduler instead, which has its own subscribe route.

The feed includes games I don’t care about

Feeds are generated per team you follow, so the fastest fix is to follow only the teams you actually want and request the feed for those. If you end up with more than you need, importing into Schedule Caddie lets you drop the schedules you don't want instead of living with a cluttered calendar.

A game got moved but my calendar still shows the old date

That's the calendar app, not ArbiterLive. Google and Apple re-read subscribed calendars on their own cycle — roughly every 12 to 24 hours — and they do it silently, so a postponement can sit invisible until the next refresh. Schedule Caddie checks the feed hourly and emails you what changed the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this harder than other team apps?

Because ArbiterLive gates the feed behind an account, a follow, and an emailed link instead of putting a copy-link button on the schedule page. None of the steps are difficult; there are just more of them than you'd expect, and nothing on the public page tells you they exist. That's exactly why this page is here.

Do I have to pay for an ArbiterLive account?

No — following your school's teams and requesting the calendar feed works on a free account.

Does the subscription keep updating after I add it?

Yes. A subscription is a live link, not a snapshot, so rescheduled games and added contests come through without you doing anything. The only variable is how often whatever you subscribed with bothers to look.

My kid also plays club on a different app — can I see both in one place?

Not in ArbiterLive, which only knows about school athletics. Paste the ArbiterLive link and your club team's link into Schedule Caddie and both land on one color-coded calendar, with conflicts flagged when a school game and a club practice collide.

How current is this guide?

Researched and verified September 2026 against ArbiterLive's official help documentation. Platform flows change, so if a step doesn't match what you see, tell us — we keep these guides honest rather than leaving a stale click path up.
