GotSport publishes a live iCal feed for every team, and iPhones subscribe to feeds natively — the club-soccer schedule can sit in your pocket and stay current on its own. The friction is finding the link (labels vary) and knowing the webcal trick that skips iOS Settings entirely.
Here's the full route, from either the Team App or system.gotsport.com.
Get your GotSport iCal link (app or web). Open your team's Schedule or Calendar section — in the GotSport Team App on your phone, or at system.gotsport.com on the web — and look for the iCal / Add to Calendar option (GotSport calls the feature "Calendar Integration (iCal)"; the label varies by version). Copy the URL: GotSport links typically look like https://system.gotsport.com/calendar/team/123456.ics.
Fastest path: open the link as webcal on your iPhone. Paste the link into Safari with the prefix swapped to webcal:// (so webcal://system.gotsport.com/…) and go — iOS recognizes webcal and asks if you want to subscribe. Tap Subscribe/Add and the schedule lands in your Calendar app as a live feed.
Or add it through Settings. Go to Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Subscribed Calendar, paste the GotSport link, and tap Next → Save. (On older iOS versions, Calendar appears directly in the main Settings list.)
Check it appears in the Calendar app. Open Calendar, tap Calendars at the bottom, and find the team feed under Subscribed — checkbox on, and give it a color that stands out.
Optional: add it on your Mac too. In the Mac Calendar app, choose File → New Calendar Subscription, paste the same link, and set Auto-refresh to every hour. Subscriptions added through iCloud sync across your Apple devices automatically.
Paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook and it works — and for one team it's genuinely fine. Club soccer's squeeze is the sprawl: league play on GotSport, tournaments elsewhere, a sibling on a different app — and nothing warning you when Saturday double-books itself.
GotSport offered to add the schedule directly — should I have just tapped that?
The direct add is often a one-time import: today's games, frozen. What you want is the subscription (the .ics URL added as a subscribed calendar), which keeps updating as the league reschedules. If you did the one-time add earlier, delete those events and subscribe properly to avoid duplicates.
I can't find any iCal option on my team's page
Labels vary: iCal, Add to Calendar, or Add All to Calendar in the team's Schedule section. Individual games on public event pages hide Add to Calendar behind the three-dots menu — but that's per-game; you want the team-level link.
A match moved but my iPhone still shows the old time
iOS refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, quietly — often only a few times a day. The GotSport feed updates promptly; it's the phone's cached copy that lags. Schedule Caddie checks the same feed hourly and emails you exactly what changed.
The subscription only shows on my phone, not my spouse's
Subscriptions live on the device (or iCloud account) that added them. Repeat the steps on each phone — or put the link in Schedule Caddie once and share the merged family calendar instead.
On iPhone, iOS decides — typically every few hours, silently. On Mac you can set Auto-refresh to hourly. Changes arrive with no notification: the event just moves.
No — subscribed calendars update quietly. If you want an actual heads-up (tournament weekends especially), Schedule Caddie watches the same GotSport feed hourly and emails you exactly what changed.
One feed per team, so yes — or paste both links into Schedule Caddie and subscribe your iPhone to the single merged calendar: fewer subscriptions, dedupe, and conflict warnings across teams.
