Two quirks meet here: Spond publishes no iCal URL (it writes events directly into a calendar on your phone), and a Skylight displays the Google, Apple, or Outlook calendars connected to it. The trick is making Spond's target calendar one the Skylight mirrors.
Understand the chain: Spond → a Google calendar → the Skylight. Spond writes into a calendar you pick on your phone; the Skylight shows calendars from a connected Google/Apple/Outlook account. Point Spond at a calendar in that account and the wall follows.
In Spond: profile picture → Calendar settings. Grant calendar access when prompted (Apple requires FULL access because Spond edits and removes entries when things change).
Choose a calendar the Skylight can see. Android: set Spond's Standard calendar to a Google-account calendar. iPhone: make sure your Google account's calendars are available to iOS (Settings → Apps → Calendar → Accounts), then pick that Google calendar as Spond's target.
Confirm the calendar is enabled on the Skylight. In the Skylight app, toggle on the calendar Spond writes into. Spond sessions now appear on the wall and update (and disappear when cancelled) on their own.
The rest of the family's feeds: merge them alongside. Everything else — TeamSnap, LeagueApps, the school PDF — DOES have a link or a file. Merge those in Schedule Caddie (free) and paste its single URL straight into the Skylight app (Synced Calendars → Sync new calendar → Calendar URL) — or subscribe it in the same Google account. Either way the whole family shares the wall.
Spond events show on my phone but not the Skylight
Spond wrote into a LOCAL device calendar. Re-check its target: it must be a calendar under your Google (or Apple/Outlook) account — not “On my iPhone/device” — and that calendar must be toggled on in the Skylight app.
A cancelled session still shows on the wall
Give the chain a sync cycle — Spond removes the event from the phone calendar, then the account syncs, then the Skylight follows. If it persists, refresh the calendar account in the Skylight app.
Nothing tells me when a session changes
Correct — the wall just silently updates. Spond's own app notifications are the alert channel for Spond events; for every OTHER schedule in the house, Schedule Caddie's change-alert emails name exactly what moved.
Not today — Spond documents the direct-write model only. If that changes, tell us and we'll update every Spond page the same day.
Spond refuses to hand out a URL, so it must write directly. Everything with a real link (or a PDF) merges in Schedule Caddie into one feed with change alerts — then Spond writes alongside it in the same account.
